Position Summary
The Manager A/P will manage daily operation of Accounts Payable and manage 1-2 staff people.
Skills / Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 7 year plus experience in Accounts Payable
2. Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of accounts payable including account reconciliation, accrual preparation, and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
3. Proven leadership experience
4. Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
5. Good written and oral communication skills; ability to work well with employees and vendors
6. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
7. Extensive experience with MS Office; experience with PeopleSoft a plus
Responsibilities
1. Ensuring accurate and timely coding, auditing, and data entry of vendor invoices and employee expense reports
2. Managing vendor relationships
3. Managing weekly disbursement cycle
4. Ensuring that all accounts payable functions meet company, SOX and tax guidelines
5. Maintaining AP system and ensuring upgrades, testing and training are performed
6. Preparing weekly cash reporting including collection and disbursement forecasting
7. Preparation and management of media reconciliations for numerous client campaigns
8. Management and training of staff accountants
9. Execution of annual 1099 reporting and quarterly SOX testing
