CHIEF ACCOUNTANT for an investment bank setting up a new European offering in London (UK), Docklands
Working for one of the wealthiest banks in the world (by asset value), this is an exceptional and unusual opportunity for an accounting professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) to take a senior management role that is core to the foundation and direction of an investment banking start up in London. The bank is committed to maintaining and developing its reputation for service excellence across the full product suite in the commodities space. This is a hands-on strategic role with much autonomy, responsible for setting up, running and developing the accounting and finance function in London (and in due course Europe).
The role has a broad remit of responsibility; strategy and risk management to preparation of policies and procedures, from tax planning to the provision of data and reports to the board and other committees. You will be consulted on many issues including opportunities for the bank to maximise earnings. Naturally, you will be a qualified accountant. Most likely you will also have a Masters degree and approx 10 years experience in banking including demonstrable management experience and excellent communication skills.
Experience of commodities is essential.A basic salary with a guide (but not limited to) £80-120,000 plus attractive benefits package and bonus is offered.I would be delighted to answer any questions and provide a full job description on request.
