The Client
Our client, a leading Japanese research and product development company, has entered into a collaborative research agreement with one of Singapore’s top R&D institutions to develop a three-dimensional transistor in Singapore.The success of this research team will put Singapore on the global stage for cutting edge semiconductor research. The team is led by a world renowned world-renowned technologist with more than 37 years of experience in semiconductor research and development. He is considered an authority on product technologies for Flash, PROM, RAM, Image Sensing Devices and High Speed Semiconductor Logic.The Singapore team works closely with the team in Japan to design, develop and engineer the three-dimensional transistor. The objective is to develop and productionize IC chips fabricated with the three-dimensional transistor that could be up to 10 times faster than existing chips built using conventional, two dimensional transistors with horizontally-arranged components.Our client offers highly rewarding career opportunities to qualified and highly-motivated R&D professionals to join the team that is working on creating the next generation of semiconductor devices under the leadership of an outstanding technologist.

Requirements
Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or Masters degree with specialization in semiconductor physics from a top-tier institution. They will have at least 5 years of semiconductor research, development and engineering experience; strong, deep and clear understanding of the working of planar transistors; and a well-demonstrated record of doctoral/masters' research thesis and related technical publications.
Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be advantageous:
§ Design of a MOS transistor device§ Computer simulation of a MOS transistor device
§ Computer simulation of a pool circuit device§ Process design for a MOS transistor
§ Computer simulation of the process design of a MOS transistor
§ Computer simulation of the process for a pool circuit device
§ Computer simulation on the circuit of a pool circuit device
Proven research abilities in semiconductor physics; extremely strong design and engineering experience in planar transistors; ability to work in a challenging R&D environment and with highly advanced technical team led by a global technology leader; ability to work in multi-ethnic, multi-site teams; a positive, “can do” attitude; high energy level and strong passion for creating next-generation semiconductor devices will be critical for success in these roles.Prior research and development exposure to three-dimensional transistors; and hands on experience in using TCAD simulation software such as SILVACO will be added advantages.
