• The Process/Tooling Engineer maintains complete and accurate records of assigned project activities coordinating LIM tooling, product design and molding processes.
• Plans and organizes project time lines for assigned projects using established APQP Project Management tools.
• Advises management of any cost related issues for assigned projects.
• Generates and maintains documentation for all internal processes, inspection criteria, Bill of Materials and other manufacturing and quality records.
• Conceptualizes and develops lean manufacturing processes for new and existing business opportunities, which may include new and/or modified plant, equipment and process needs. Utilization of Kaizen events.
• Supports production on silicone injection molding of materials and processes, assembly and packaging processes, as well as troubleshooting production issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering-plastics or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years working as a product/process/project or manufacturing engineer.
• Experience in medical device or medical products. LIM or LSR molding a must.
• Technical experience developing silicone injection molding of thermoplastic products.
• Experience in tooling and mold design and injection press mechanics.
