Salary: $65,000 to $70,000
- Consult with management in regards to field operations and facility planning, including ramp operations
- Provide input for the budget process at both the facility and regional level
- Prepare, analyze and monitor long range plans for each facility, linehaul system, ramp and region in conjunction with appropriate levels of management
- Provide analysis and recommendations in areas such as expansion, new products, procedures, vehicle equipment and manpower needs
- Evaluate and coordinate the implementation of new and existing products
- Provide technical training to field personnel through workshops, seminars and one-on-one sessions in areas such as operations, manning, MIS, contingency planning, productivity, cost effectiveness and manpower scheduling
- Monitor, analyze, recommend and assist in implementing new ways to improve productivity, service and cost performance in all areas of facility operations in conjunction with field management
- Serve on special corporate study teams established to investigate and/or implement projects relating to productivity and performance as needed
- Establish and maintain a communication link between field and corporate departments, and assist in providing technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease terminations, new locations, five year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning and cost justification
- Participate in studies designed to implement sound, innovative service engineering concepts into field operations
In addition to initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and being a team player:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business or quantitative discipline
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience in a related field
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational and computer skills
- Skilled in process design and improvements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel
