Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada Salary: $120,000 to $130,000

Our client who is a Leader in the Residential Construction Industry has an opening for a VP of Sales and Marketing. This position requires a well seasoned and polished professional to take their rapidly growing business to the next level. You will report directly to the CEO of this well established company. The VP of Sales and Marketing will play an integral part in executing their team, including overseeing the overall management of new and existing sales and marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities Include:
- develop long term marketing/sales strategies and establish pricing policies for the new home construction industry - spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with overall strategy of the company - manage multiple business initiatives consistent with the new home construction environment - develop and manage strategic partnerships with local agencies, suppliers and trades - build and manage a business development team - manage complex contract negotiations with suppliers, developers and trades suppliers - lead through example and be the driving force in the development of work ethic, culture and values of the sales, marketing and business development group - establish new and existing local relations with owners and contractors - contribute to the management of the company as a whole in a senior role.
Skills and Qualifications:
- ability to identify potential markets and develop tactics to bring them to fruition - ability to function effectively in a competitive and fast paced new home construction market - extensive experience in leading business development, marketing and sales preferably within the new home construction environment - ideally your extensive experience has resulted in an impressive list of business contacts - completed post secondary education in Marketing or Business Management and/or equivalent industry experience including full P&L analysis responsibility.
